iam pre-diabetic and very close to developing diabetes. these diabetic recipes seem so difficult and time consuming to put together. plus, my wife now has developed demensia/alzheimer's so i think i will have to do these menus because they maybe too overwhelming for her.

Please? Email Me List Of Foods That A Diabetic Person Can Eat. So They Don't Get Sick. So I Know What To Feed My Mother-In-Law. She Has Type 2 Diabetic. So Please? Help Me. I Want Her To Live In My Place. But I Have To Have Her Eat The Right Away. So It Looks Like My Husband & I Will Have To Eat the Same Thing. Thank You Kathleen A Landon,

I am stunned that you suggest Diabetics eat up to eight slices of bread a day!!!! This goes against everything I have been taught over the past ten years since being diaginosed as having Diabetes Type 2. Can you explain please

"Strive to know what the correct portion sizes are for a variety of foods. Take into consideration the total amount of fats, carbohydrates and protein in the food labels, as well the considered serving size. Only very simply computation is necessary in finding out what the right serving is for your food. For example, if you plan to eat only half of a serving then simply half the numbers found on the label so you know exactly how much of the servings you are eating."
You can read more about it?

Great info... But long time ago, somebody told me that dairy products can actually make us fat.. Is it true? And I also heard stories that some people lose weight when they give up consuming dairies..

I enjoyed reading your blog.... I am type 2 diabetic and on meds (not insulin) and although I am being very careful with portion controls and checking carbs, I don't seem to be able to lower my blood sugar. I also do some walking and exercise dancing almost every day. Don't know what is wrong...My meals are interesting and tasteful or I would not be able to stick to it.
For example: Dinner would consist of a large Mache salad with tomatoes and cucumbers, oilive oil and white balsamic vinaigre, Baked chicken breast or baked tilapia, quinoa (1/4 cup) with mixed frozen vegetables.
I will be checking with the diabetic specialist on the 30th and see what we can do. I do hope he does not put me on insulin.
I will keep reading your blog and looking for more great ideas and recipies.
Regards,
Paula

Heal Your Sunburn with Yogurt...

Most of us have tried yogurt, and we might consider it to be a diet food but it is actually very good for the skin. This is especially the case whenever we have a problem with sunburn......

Thank you for this. It's helpful and I need more ideas for 1.Breakfast, 2.Lunch, 3, Supper and 4. Snacks. Thank you. Planning and cooking meals for 2 people is a challenge. My husband has to loose 25 lb and is on a low: fat, sugar, salt diet.
Any help is appreciated.
